What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Intern - Student Services position at Purdue University?
If you are looking to further develop the skills that will be foundation to a career in marketing, graphic design, and web design, this would be a great fit. The design intern must follow brand guidelines and is expected to understand the voice and identity set forth by Purdue University marketing and communications.
Candidate should have a working portfolio to show upon request.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Print material design such as flyers, brochures, and other marketing collateral.
* Presentation design and updating using PowerPoint or other presentation software.
* Digital graphics creation for web and social media.
* Video editing for Youtube shorts and podcast production.
- Website editing using Wordpress CMS.
Required Skills/Experience:
* Purdue undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Graphics Technology, Visual Communication Design, Marketing, Communication, or something similar.
* Working knowledge of current graphic design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
* Knowledge of Wordpress front end development a plus.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere or other video editing software a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
This position is a 10-15 hour a week commitment. Work will begin January 13, 2025 and complete May 9, 2025.
Pay Rate: $16/hour
