At Purdue University, we're seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Craft Crew Chief to join our dynamic facilities team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our legacy of innovation and impact while being part of a community that values unrivaled pride and unlimited potential.
As a Multi-Craft Crew Chief, you will:
- Perform and supervise repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of university property
- Utilize strong knowledge of blueprints, schematics, computer programs, and technical manuals
- Collaborate with vendors, engineers, co-workers, and administrators
- Assist in prioritizing and monitoring activities of personnel and functions
- Troubleshoot and complete work orders efficiently
- Address material and personnel bottlenecks
- Identify and correct safety issues
- Create, print, and close SAP work orders
- Be available for 24-hour emergency call backs
Hours: 3:30 p.m. thru 12:00 p.m. ($0.45 shift differential is added to your base rate.)

Education and Experience:
Qualified candidates will need:
- High School diploma/GED required; college coursework or Vocational/Technical school preferred
- Four or more years of experience in relevant trades (e.g., Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing)
Skills needed:
- Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills
- Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
- Computer proficiency, including word processing and spreadsheets
- General craft knowledge across multiple disciplines
- Valid driver's license
