The Research Account Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting faculty researchers within the Office of Research by managing a designated group of research portfolios and leading a team of business assistants. This position is instrumental in guiding research projects through every stage, from proposal submission to post-award administration, ensuring a seamless and efficient process. As a key partner to faculty, the administrator fosters communication among investigator teams, oversees project reporting and coordination, and prepares grant projections to maintain financial clarity. Additionally, this role involves close collaboration with Principal Investigators (PIs) to address challenges, as well as interfacing with sponsors, subcontractors, and various Purdue offices, including business and sponsored program units, to navigate budget revisions and other financial matters.
