The College of Science is Purdue’s second largest unit by enrollment, number of faculty, and research expenditures. The College has been expanding across all its seven academic departments and its 30 majors. Science is also central to most of the signature strategic focus areas of campus leadership, and is expanding its operational footprint to the Indianapolis location. There is a lot going on. Education and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a Science or Engineering major
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in project management or research administration
- Project management experience
Preferred:
- Advanced degree
- Experience of academic grant pre-award or post-award practices
- Experience in a scientific or engineering development field
Skills Needed:
- Technical writing, public speaking, supervision of a technical team, budgeting and budget management
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Federal funding agencies and processes
