The Office of Student Life is seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy student to manage and operate our new iPad Photo Booth, known as the Roamer. This role is vital in enhancing student engagement and capturing memorable moments at various campus events that include Department Events, Student Organization Events and Student Life events. The Roamer Photo Booth Specialist will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the photo booth, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants. This position will travel to the Westville campus occasionally.
Setup and Operation
- Transport and set up the Roamer photo booth at designated event locations.
- Ensure the iPad is fully charged and loaded with necessary software and applications.
- Operate the Roamer during events, assisting participants with taking photos and using any special features.
Engagement and Interaction
- Engage with event attendees, encouraging them to use the Roamer photo booth.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to ensure a positive experience.
- Promote the photo booth through social media and other channels as directed.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Regularly inspect and maintain the Roamer photo booth equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during events.
- Keep a log of any maintenance or technical issues and report them to the supervisor.
Event Coordination
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Life to schedule the Roamer for various events.
- Assist in the planning and promotion of events where the Roamer will be featured.
- Ensure timely arrival and setup of the Roamer for each event.
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain an inventory of photo booth supplies and request additional supplies as needed.
- Collect and organize digital copies of photos taken during events.
- Assist in compiling and sharing event photo highlights with the Office of Student Life team.
