We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Team Lead, Garden Center Merchandiser. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of garden center products on behalf of Pure Beauty Farms. This will include: placing, organizing, caring for and merchandising a variety of live good plants. This role be a liaison between the stores and our management team. Team Leads must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling a large quantity of perishable product.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Comply with safety standards while working in the stores and demands
- Able to understand reports and dashboards to plan for product deliveries and arrivals
- Exhibit high levels of productivity and accuracy while Merchandising products in the stores.
- Energetically execute tasks as directed by members of the team.
- Strive to learn as quickly as possible and improve execution and productivity every day.
- Prepare stores walks with the Home Depot Team and any executive leadership from our Pure Beauty Team.
- Provides excellent customer service to stores and our consumers.
- Attend company meetings as needed.
- Ensure all employees follow proper safety initiatives including any PPE
- Load and unload plants and place them by the expected planogram and execution guide.
- Bring rolling racks into garden center to stock displays
- Ensure work area is cleaned before and after plant deliveries.
- Merchandiser sets schedules and is in charge of training on safety protocols.
- Assist customers with agricultural plant experience on growing tips.
- Leads the merchandising team with displays, markdowns, signing, watering, clean up, etc..
- Communicat3es with the Home Depot store personal and management
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Full-time – flexibility to work extra time and/or weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be tech savvy as you will need to use our HRIS system and a clock in system.
- Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, pull, push, lift, and stretch up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to move items on or near floor level and overhead.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including listening and oral communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to provide the highest quality of service to internal and external customers.
- Dependable and able to travel between locations in own vehicle.
- Must be able to work in the hot humid weather for extended periods of time.
Travel Requirement:
· Minimal travel may be required for training or occasional support at various locations.
· During spring, additional hours may be required.
