Must have an understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies.
Mathematical skills
Bilingual is preferred

Work Environment & Physical
This position works in a manufacturing facility and requires standing, bending, climbing or walking 80% of the time
Must be able to twist, bend, and stoop when performing work tasks.
Must be able to carry or lift 25 pounds or more.

Description
The Packaging Supervisor for third shift is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing team performance, and ensuring that work processes are carried out efficiently and effectively. This role involves coordinating tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to team members to achieve organizational goals. The Supervisor also ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Supervise and coordinate activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance
- Evaluates and recommends hiring or termination decisions
- Collaborate with management to ensure production activities are as efficient as possible
- Enforce company safety protocols, break and lunch policies
- Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
- Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary or corrective action as necessary
- Trains and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal downtime
- Coordinates with management to ensure production activities are as efficient as possible
- Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
- Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
- Document downtime and lost efficiency
- Ensure quality guidelines for products are followed
- Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
- Assist with Continuous Improvement
- Maintain LOTO certification
- Reviews and assists with all quality control documentation
- Ensure Food Safety Standards during production
- Communicate with cross functional teams and operations to coordinate shift activities
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management
