What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Alliance Director, Red Hat position at Pure Storage?
Pure is looking to hire a Strategic Global Alliance Director for Cloud Native Workloads (Red Hat, IBM, Suse). In this role you will:
- Lead Pure’s worldwide alliance relationship with Cloud Native Partners. Success will be measured in terms of pipeline build, product and technology alignment, global joint go-to-market, and field sales and senior leadership engagement .
- Establish yourself as the ‘go-to’ resource for all Red Hat, IBM, Suse alliance business development opportunities, and establish Pure as the standard for storage with alliance.
- Lead the joint demand generation activity with Cloud Native Alliance and Pure that drive bookings and pipeline in existing Pure customers and creates white space opportunities.
- Build strong cross functional relationships that drive a seamless technology and market execution plan.
- Establish and execute a strategic global plan regarding Pure’s go-to-market and field engagement with Red Hat, IBM, and Suse
- Develop strategies that allow Pure to capitalize on the emerging trends, strategic direction, and gaps in Red Hat, IBM and Suse Ecosystem.
- Own driving and developing key relationships between Pure stakeholders and Alliance counterparts. This includes building and executing an executive and senior leader engagement plan between Pure and OpenSource Cloud Native Partners
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 10 years of Alliance management and/or technology industry business development.
- 5 years of experience successfully navigating and developing business with Cloud Native Partners.
- A robust understanding of how Kubernetes operates, and an existing base of strong professional relationships within cloud native space
- Ability to balance strategy, business development, and sales with a “roll-up your sleeves and get it done" attitude.
- Motivated leader and team player with expertise working in a fast paced culture, and managing virtual teams and stakeholders in a cross-functional manner.
- Experienced expert in managing senior executive communications and engagement.
- Ability to establish and mature sales, marketing, solutions, and product management senior relationships as a trusted advisor to build and execute a strategic growth plan.
- Proven track record in building strategy, organizing resources, and delivering results.
- Strong business and technical AI acumen, outstanding communication skills and capability to build relationships with executive leaders in the cloud native ecosystem.
- Experienced expert in collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, alliances/GSI’s/channel, product, solutions, marketing, legal, and finance.
- Learn and maintain a deep understanding of Pure’s AI/ML product offerings, integrations and solutions to articulate Pure’s value proposition.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30% of the time.
The annual base salary range is: $268,000– $428,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
