GA - FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
The Field Service Engineer for Florida provides technical service and support on water purification equipment with the objectives of minimizing customer downtime, nurturing successful business relationships and generating revenue opportunities for Pureflow.
Key Responsibilities :
- Performs a variety of preventative and emergency maintenance or repairs including but not limited to the following :
Install expendables in different types of water treatment components (Cartridge filters, Ultraviolet (UV systems), reverse osmosis membranes etc.)
Removal and reloading of media from vessels for a number of different water treatment medias (activated Carbon, sand, softening resin)Reverse Osmosis and Electro-deionization (EDI) system cleaning & sanitizationsCalibrations of pressure, flow, conductivity instrumentationTroubleshooting & repair of malfunctioning water treatment systemsAssists in startup, testing and commissioning of new water systemsProvides thorough documentation of all work, parts, and time in accordance with both Pureflow and customer specific standard operating proceduresCommunicates effectively with customers, service and engineering team members regarding service contract issues, breakdowns or system design issuesWrites thorough technical reports of work activities and system improvement recommendationsFrequently drive company vehicles (vans, box trucks and tractor trailers) to mobilize equipment, parts and tools to customer sitesMaintains extraordinarily neat work areas, including vehicles, shop, and work sitesJob Requirements : Required :
7 years of mechanical or electrical industry experienceAssociates or Bachelors' degree in mechanical, electrical or engineering fieldKnowledge of proper use of hand and power toolsSelf-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic & capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projectsFluent computer & technology skillsCapable of obtaining commercial drivers license (CDL) within 6 months of hirePreferred :
Strong manual dexterity and mechanical skills (example : plumbing, HVAC, construction or other trade skills)Instrumentation, controls or electrical experience / aptitudeReading and interpreting blueprints, piping & instrumentation drawings, or electrical diagramsTravel :
75% travel, mostly local with some out of state travelFrequent overnight travel, often with short notice, including drive times to site (up to 6 hours)Hold a current valid US driver's license and good driving record over last three years is requiredPhysical Requirements / Working Environment :
Majority of work is performed in industrial settings inside customer manufacturing facilitiesRegular "on call" rotation assignmentsExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without physical restrictionsFrequent walking in a large production facilityCapable of bending, climbing, stooping, and standing for long periods of time on concreteMust be able to safely perform all the duties of the jobMust be able to pass a post-offer / pre-placement drug screen, background check, and job-related physical abilities testPerks of working at Pureflow :
