Purelight Power is seeking an experienced and dynamic Controller to lead our finance and accounting team. As a senior manager, you will oversee Purelight's financial health by taking ownership of all accounting operations. Purelight Power is based in Medford, OR; however, we are open to hiring remotely for the right candidate. Upon hire, you will complete an expenses paid, one-week training at headquarters in OR.

- Manages the accounting department, including training, oversight, and performance management.
- Oversee payroll.
- Prepares, supervises and/or reviews journal entries and accounting transactions affecting general ledger accounts; audits the account balances and finalizes monthly financial statements.
- Establishes and applies adequate internal controls, accounting policies and procedures to not only ensure accurate and reliable financial records, but to safeguard company assets.
- Administers the corporate credit card program to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Processes daily banking activity.
- Provides competent support in a courteous and professional manner to both internal and external customers.
- Partners with CFO, Assistant Controller and staff in meeting department objectives.
- Assists in annual audits and preparation of financial statement.
- Manages other initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in accounting
- CPA certificate preferred
- Five years experience in accounting, auditing and financial reporting
- Three years of experience in a supervisory role
- Strong team-building skills
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- High ethical and moral standards
- Professional written and verbal communication skills for internal and external customers
- Advanced computer skills using spreadsheet, presentation, databases & accounting software
- In-depth knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Minimal travel to headquarters in Medford, OR throughout the year, as needed
