Objective of the Position: Ensures that Operations meets or exceeds efficiency and corporate quality standards by participating in and directing activities of team members in assigned departments.
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Completes all documentation and reporting associated with the position in a timely and accurate manner.
- Directs department in a manner that promotes high morale, teamwork, productivity and quality.
- Ensure properly administered cross-training and orientation programs for production associates.
- Ensures that job performance problems and conflicts are resolved quickly and fairly in accordance with EETAM policies with assistance from the Human Resource Department.
- Identifies and records any problems related to progress of work, downtime and quality.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards through efficient use of all resources and support available.
- Recommends and implements solutions to issues and drives continuous improvement activities in support of goals and objectives set by Manager.
- Supervise and coordinate all activities of employees assigned to department.
- Manages timecards, attendance and schedules daily in time and attendance tracking system.
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile:
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business, Management or closely related field.
- Minimum three years’ experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum three years’ experience working for a manufacturing supplier preferably automotive in an operational role.
Technical Expertise:
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
- Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
- Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
- Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
- Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
- Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.
