This role is responsible for developing comprehensive training programs that enhance technical skills, ensure safety compliance, and foster leadership growth across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic vision and hands-on execution, with a passion for developing talent in both blue-collar and professional roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Develop Training Programs: Create hybrid (in-person and online) learning modules focusing on technical skills, safety protocols, and leadership development.
- Manage PurgeRite Academy: Oversee day-to-day operations of the Academy, including scheduling sessions, coordinating with in-house experts, and integrating external trainers.
- Certification & Milestone Tracking: Implement certification pathways and monitor employee progress, ensuring clear growth opportunities within the company.
- Assess Training Effectiveness: Use feedback tools, assessments, and performance data to evaluate training impact and continuously improve programs.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with HR, Operations, Engineering, and Leadership teams to align training initiatives with company goals.
- Maintain Compliance Standards: Ensure all safety and regulatory training meets industry standards and legal requirements.
- Leverage Technology: Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and digital tools to deliver engaging online training experiences.
- Leadership qualities to guide trainers, coordinate with external experts, and manage training teams if necessary.
- Proficiency in e-learning software and tools like Microsoft Teams for virtual training.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing training effectiveness and ROI.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—able to engage both blue-collar workers and executive leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset to address training gaps or needs.
- 5-10 years of experience in training and development, preferably within blue-collar industries or technical environments.
- Ability to work and be effective in both the hands-on and management level tasks and influence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and online training platforms.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety training best practices is a plus.
