Job Summary: The Site Engineer plays a crucial role in developing efficient systems, processes, and machines that result in high-quality products. This role works aside the Manufacturing Technicians and collaborates with Engineering and Operations leadership to ensure production demands are met efficiently and cost effective. This position reports to the Site Director of the plant locations(s) in Pittsfield or Guilford, ME.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support new medical devices processes and equipment changes, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and user needs.
- Support equipment and process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and perform testing to ensure device safety and efficacy.
- Implement process improvements and optimize manufacturing procedures to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manufacturing procedure documents, and other technical documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless product development and compliance.
- Source and coordinate with purchasing for equipment and materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Provide technical assistance to resolve any technical issues that arise during manufacturing.

Education and Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards, statistical analysis, and process validation techniques preferred.
- Hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing, including equipment/process validations and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
