Regional Director, Residential Division
Report to: Senior Director, National Sales
Brief summary of duties:
Under minimal supervision, the Regional Director will be responsible to lead a team of account managers in an assigned region. The Regional Director shall strategically plan and grow the customer base in their assigned region. The Regional Director shall meet or exceed key performance indicators as well as maximizing the revenue generated from customer relationships in the region. This job requires in-depth familiarity with deaf and hard of hearing communities and culture; knowledge of sales channels for products and services that support deaf and hard of hearing people.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Strategically plan the growth of the region
- Supervise all account managers in the region
- Achieve key performance indicators for account managers in region
- Lead in the establishment and/or growth of emerging markets within the region
- Work closely with Account Managers in maintaining customer experience
- Motivate Account Managers to perform at optimum levels through effective leadership, communication, professional development, and coaching. Provide support on issues, challenges and questions.
- Assist the marketing team by traveling to trade-shows, events, and conventions. Network with attendees, and promote company products and services.
- Ensure a competent, motivated staff through effective hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Serve as a member of the customer experience leadership team
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- At least three years of management experience preferred, demonstrating the ability to lead a dynamic organization to achieve productivity objectives.
- Excellent human relations and outreach skills including the ability to interact with people of varying communications levels in the deaf and hard of hearing communities.
- Strong technical skills preferred.
- Knowledge of relay services, products, and relay systems and how they function.
- American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency required
- Knowledge of the deaf culture, and familiarity with products and services that support the communications needs of deaf people.
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently without close supervision; and a highly motivated and self-confident professional who is comfortable approaching people in a variety of settings.
- Skilled in using specialized software related to departmental operations including database, Internet, spreadsheet, instant messaging, presentation, and word processing programs.
- Ability to communicate extensively and effectively through a variety of channels, including email and the Internet; and to present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and the community.
- Time management skills to handle multiple, competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of departmental operations and organizational policies, processes and procedures, and ability to establish and communicate goals and priorities.
- Ability to communicate extensively and effectively through a variety of channels, including email and the Internet; and to present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, managers and the community.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
- Sitting, standing and walking (95-100%)
- Viewing computer monitor, videophone, and pager requiring close vision (40-60%)
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a business or home office environment. Ability to travel, including out of state travel is expected.
