Availability work 1st shift for training which takes a couple weeks.

## Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.

## Duties
- Utilize GPS and transportation management systems to track and monitor shipments
- Coordinate with drivers and carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
- Enter data accurately into the system for record-keeping purposes
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and updates
- Assist in resolving any transportation-related issues that may arise

Purple Mountain Solutions is seeking a dependable dispatcher that can communicate effectively with customers and drivers to record details about shipments, arrange pick up times, and discuss any special handling issues.
The ideal candidate will have a customer service background with a focus on situation resolution and customer relationship building with strong technical aptitude including but not limited to MS office (Word, Excel). Candidate must have a pleasant demeanor and professional image and the ability to excel in a team environment.
Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with shipping and receiving processes and procedures is desired but not required
• Technical aptitude to work with a variety of software
• Experience in data entry
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
• Active listener with excellent communication skills
• Sound judgment and critical thinking
• Responsibilities
• Must be available to work 2nd shift and 3rd shift on a rotation basis along with
• Cover shift hours from 1330 to 2200, Mondays – Fridays or 2200 to 0700 Monday -Friday

Weekend coverage that would occur every 3 weekends and are 2 twelve hour shifts one each day.

Total weekly hours 25 to 35 average.

• Ability to work weekends on a rotating basis
• Assist both customers and internal staff with delivery operation needs
• Address problems and requests by providing solutions
• Receive and dispatch orders for deliveries
• Use radio, phone or computer to dispatch drivers to appropriate locations and communicate with our clients
• Provide drivers with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirement
• Enter orders and notes in the system
• Use good manners when on the phone
• Assist with quoting jobs
