Job Description Summary
The Operations Lead will assist with managing the daily operations of a specific geographical division.
The Operation Lead will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of a company's fleet of vehicles and warehouse operations. They are responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable transportation and storage of goods. They will consistently display dedication to providing and supporting a safe working environment in a customer-focused manner. The operations lead acts as regional lead in the absence of the regional manager.
Essential Functions/ Core Responsibilities

Fleet Management Planning and Optimizing transportation
Assists with ensuring fleet contributes to attaining organizational goals using the available resources.
Assist with selecting the most efficient and cost-effective routes for transporting goods, considering factors like distance, time, cost, and safety
Assist with monitoring, correcting, and improving driving behaviors and operations
Assist with mentoring, coaching, and rewarding drivers
Assisting in the recruitment, discipline, and termination of drivers
Assist with Evaluating drivers’ performances
Assist with setting driving schedules
Assist with ensuring drivers’ adherence to applicable transport regulations (e.g., Hours of Service compliance)
Warehouse Operations
Assist with daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
Assist with schedule and oversee warehouse and drivers and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary

Equipment and Operations
Assist with maintaining records of vehicle usage, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, coordinating vehicle maintenance, and facilitating communication between drivers, management, and external vendors. Ensure vehicles have up-to-date registration, insurance, and permits.
Assists maintain a mission capable fleet of vehicles (maintained, clean, GPS monitoring installed/working, parked where available)
Ability to learn and use technology in an efficient and efficient manner
People Management
Assist with recruiting efforts to hire, train, & develop strong performing team players to cover all routes and services assigned to the branch’s region.
Budget & Cost Reduction
Work with senior leadership to develop and control the expense and capital budgets.
Take steps to reduce costs (increase efficiency) within your organization.
Approve timecards for payroll, analyzing and managing overtime while taking ownership of overall process to ensure overall efficient scheduling to align with budget and business needs.
Customer Service & Strategic Thinking
Responsible for Timely response to customers addressing their concerns
Respond to the receivers' inquiries and concerns, and resolve delivery complaints immediately
Strategizing profitability techniques and identifying related business opportunities
Safety & Compliance
Support and enforce all aspects of company policies/procedures, create and maintain a high level of morale that encourages associate communication, and ensure equal opportunity for all.
Reporting issues: Must report any delivery or safety issues or concerns to the Manager or relevant parties including but not limited to, Owners, Safety Director, HR Director, law enforcement, etc. immediately.
1st Report of Injury - Work with Regional Manager to complete 1st Report of Injury / accident form within 24hours of incident and forward forms to relevant parties including but not limited to, Owners, Safety, and Human Resources
Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain Fed Med Card is desired
Working Conditions/Essential Functions:
Occasionally exert Physical effort in the frequent handling of objects weighing up to (150 pounds ), effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls.
Frequently use moderate light physical effort in the frequent handling of objects weighing up to (50 pounds) FREQUENTLY, and the occasional handling of heavier objects while loading cargo, with the assistance of other workers or weight handling equipment.
