Title: Process Technician
Dept: Maintenance / Operations
Openings: 4 (Day and Night)
Shift: Day (6am to 6pm) or Night (6pm-6am) > We are trying to figure out the need for the right shift
Days: rotating 3 and 4 day schedules every two weeks. (including weekends)
Location: Southwest Charlotte, North Carolina
Company: waste container manufacturer / distributor
Candidates considered: USA citizens and Green Card Holders
Position: Full Time role
Hourly pay rate: $30hr to $33/hr (maybe more)
Educational requirements: High School or higher
Reports to: Shift Supervisor / Engineering Manager
Start Date: mid - December
Travel: zero to minimal
Experience needed:5 years of experience as a Process Tech

Recruiter Notes: 1) The company is going through a large growth spurt, bringing in some 40 professionals to expand production and distribution. They have 5 total facilities across the country. The manufacturing is conducted in the Charlotte facility. 2) Why is it open? Filling gaps on the team (production) 3) They recently won a couple of large projects/landing new clients. Manufacturing must increase to support the demand from their clients. 4) Within a calendar month, the Tech would work 3 12 hour shifts with 4 days off. The next week the Tech will work 4 12 hour shift/days. So, 36 hours one week and 48 hours the following week, rotating every two week. So, the Tech will need to work weekends. The Recruiter can provide a monthly schedule for you to better understand. We have a calendar showing work days. 5) Look for excellent skills in electronics, pneumatics, machinery, robotics, controls, etc . 6) They like well rounded candidates that can “jump in” where necessary. For example- if a press goes down – anyone can jump in and get it operating. And, They also like “experts” in particular fields. For instance, if someone has outstanding exp in electronics, but not much else.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team. As Process Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing production processes, ensuring that our
manufacturing operations run efficiently and meet quality standards. Your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities will be crucial in maintaining high performance and productivity levels.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and adjust manufacturing processes to ensure optimal performance and
product quality.
- Operate and maintain production equipment and machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output targets.
- Document and report process parameters, production data, and any deviations.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Assist in training new team members on process operations and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with high tonnage
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Die mold exchange (SMED)
- Robotic teaching and trouble shooting
- Basic PLC programing skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in using process control software and tools
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
