Financial Controller
Pursuit Aerospace seeks a Financial Controller for our Plainville location.
Role Profile
This role will be responsible for the preparation, delivery and evaluation of the monthly, quarterly and annual site accounts and budgets. The successful candidate will provide a strategic approach to key stakeholders within the business for sound financial business decisions to be made.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of month end processes and accounts
- Cash management & forecasting for local leadership and corporate leadership
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and undertaking periodic fixed asset inspections
- Supervising the purchase ledger & sales ledger processes to ensure full compliance
- Create weekly and monthly presentations to detail the financial performance of the business
- Liaising with key stakeholders (local leadership team and corporate team) to provide ad-hoc reporting and information
- Liaising with external auditors during the year end process
- Monthly accruals and prepayments
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Working alongside the Sales Manager and general Manager, assume responsibility for the preparation of the five-year plan
- Development & maintenance of the site rates
- Support of pricing & cost proposals
- Lead annual physical inventory process or oversight of cycle count program
Person Specification
- Demonstratable leadership skills
- Ability to achieve key deadlines on a monthly basis
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience of operating at a controller level
- Manufacturing experience with an understanding of costing
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft excel
- Understanding of US GAAP accounting.
