The Company has embarked on a multi-year growth plan, with M&A as a key focus area for growth. The Corporate Development team works directly with senior leadership and its private equity owners to help shape the Company’s overall growth strategy, execute acquisitions and identify new acquisition opportunities. This new role is being created to support the Company’s continued growth.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented M&A Associate to join our dynamic team. This role, reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Development, is ideal for professionals with M&A experience who are looking to contribute to the strategic growth of the Company through mergers & acquisitions (M&A), partnerships and other high-impact initiatives.
Purpose/Summary:
The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Associate position is responsible for financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, and strategic analysis in support of the Company’s strategic growth initiatives, including mergers & acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate development activities.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists with the identification and evaluation of M&A opportunities and execution of transactions, including conducting financial analysis, preparing presentations and performing due diligence
- Develops and maintains complex financial models and valuation analyses for potential acquisitions and partnerships
- Conducts market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape and growth opportunities
- Works closely with internal teams and external advisors (lawyers, accountants, consultants) to facilitate the transaction process
- Supports deal sourcing efforts by identifying and evaluating new opportunities aligned with corporate strategy
- Prepares clear and concise reports and presentations for senior leadership; communicates effectively with stakeholders across the organization
- Partners with other internal teams, including finance, legal and operations, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of corporate development initiatives
- Performs related duties as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
- Five (5) years related experience in M&As and financial analysis (investment banking, private equity, corporate development, management consulting, or a similar corporate development related field)
Knowledge, Skill & Ability:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and valuation
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and financial statement analysis
- Experience with PowerPoint to create professional presentations and deal memos
- Familiarity with market research tools and data sources Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
- Ability to synthesize complex data and present actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
