Director of Social Media

As our Director of Social Media, you'll lead all social media efforts at Pursuit Digital, both internally and for our clients. You’ll lead strategy, content planning, and client relationships across multiple brands, bringing excellence, clarity, and creativity to everything our clients publish. Responsibilities:

• You’ll lead the social media department, not just manage tasks, but shape the strategy and systems that make it work.
• Plan and execute creative ideas for content shoots for social media clients.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients to produce campaigns that drive business results.
• Own the full social content cycle, from ideation to scheduling to post-launch performance checks.
• Create graphics for social media and other marketing collateral.
• Communicate with our video production team to plan social media content and campaigns.
• Attend social media content shoots, assisting the Director of Creative Media and video production team.
• Oversee all social media efforts at Pursuit Digital.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in social media management for businesses.
• Strong client-relations skills,andability to understand client needs.
• Graphic design experience, in Canva or similar.
• Highly creative with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
• Reliable transportation to and from content shoots.
• Must live in or near Knoxville year-round.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Personal equipment, such as a computer or cell phone, to supplement our gear.
• Photography or photo editing experience, even if minimal.
• Videography or video editing experience, even if minimal.
• Comfortable being on camera and representing brands when needed.

Schedule & Pay:

• This is a full-time, salaried position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, with local travel for content shoots (typically 50 miles from our office).
• Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with some days requiring additional hours or out-of-office work.
• Starting salary range of $55,000 - $60,000, with opportunities for bonuses.

Location:

• Our office is located at 154F Market Place Blvd in West Knoxville, about 15 minutes from the University of Tennessee.
• This role requires in-person attendance with local travel for shoots.
