Position Summary/Overview:
The Barrier Spray Technician helps homeowners and businesses to enjoy a healthy outdoor experience by keeping mosquitoes, ticks and other pests away from family and pets. These skilled professionals deliver high quality customer service with proven products that safely provide outdoor protection and comfort. This position involves use of a company vehicle to travel on a customer service route to deliver desired products, answer questions, and provide access to additional services of interest. Must be able to lift and carry a 60 pound backpack, and have a clean driver's license. Job-specific service training is provided for qualified candidates.
Essential Duties:
Apply pesticides to landscaping according to a set schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
Identify sources of client's mosquito and tick pest issues, and practice tactics in source reduction.
Safely drive company vehicle to customer's houses or places of business.
Call customers to confirm scheduled service visits.
Respond on a timely basis to customer's requests for telephone and in-person service calls.
Complete required production forms at end of day.
Maintain vehicle and equipment in a clean and effective operating condition.
Assist in sales to current customers.
Expertly answer frequently asked client questions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence effectively
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
Possess effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills
Must be legally qualified to work in the United States
Physical Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds.
Must be able to walk for extended periods with a backpack weight of up to 60 pounds while accomplishing daily work route within the posted time frames.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and approval by company insurance policy for operating company vehicles
Must have reliable transportation to and from the company office
Must pass necessary exam/Pulmonary Function Test to wear a respirator
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
A Commercial Pesticide Applicator's license is required by federal, state, or local regulations for employment. Paid training is provided for qualified candidates to achieve certification. Employment begins once the requirement is satisfied.
