Job Duties
Job Summary: Responsible for gathering the requested information from the medical records and releasing within the HIPAA guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Answering incoming calls
- Greet guests coming into the office
- Gather information off the in-office requests
- Fax patient information to the requester
- Track statistical information
- Communication with 3rd party record release company
- Scanning and checking reports
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Educational Experience: HS Graduate or Equivalent
Years of Experience: 1-2 years
Age Requirements: 18
Qualifications:
- Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations and Release of Information standards
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to multi-task effectively
- Have Customer Service background
- Great phone etiquette
Preferred Skills:
- Medical office work history
- Preferred education in Medical Administration, Health Information Technology, or equivalent degree
