We are looking for experienced Operators for 2nd shift and 3rd third positions. This position is responsible for assembling a wide variety of component parts, to build complete units, with on-line and off-line operations including secondary operations on tubing products to complete customer orders. This position deals with a variety of work and may require working in different areas on the floor, this may include working in a clean/white room. This position adheres to manufacturing processes including testing, quality and documenting to ensure the product meets specified criteria contained in the work orders/specifications/IL form.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports operations in various functions including, but not limited to, tipping, flaring, cutting, pad printing, drilling/punching holes, bonding, laminating, and core pulling, measuring, sorting, completing documentation, QAD transactions, inspection, and line support (hand unloading, break relief, line clearance).
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Build products on the assembly line according to blueprints, drawings, instructions, or schematics.
- Inspects and measures (various types) first production pieces to ensure machine is producing pieces within specification. adjust as required and/or notify engineer/ management if process cannot product acceptable parts.
- Provides additional support production runs as required. Troubleshoots, collects, and analyzes process/machine data as required or with assistance of Engineering personnel when process is not capable.
- Follows good documentation practices (GDP).
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- Able to apply meticulous attention to detail and be able to spot the smallest imperfections in products
- Able to work in a fast-paced department with continuously changing jobs and priorities. Able to perform several tasks concurrently.
- Ability to read/write/understand English. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents including safety rules, operational instructions, procedure manuals, and SDS sheets.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals as well as measure in English and metric measurements.
- Ability to effectively use and/or learn Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, as well as PPC’s computer software for quality and production.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some experience with plastics or medical device manufacturing.
- 3 months – 1 year of assembly of complex components in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Previous experience with ISO, FDA, and/or cGMP.
- Good mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot machinery.

- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to input, handle or feel, use of arms to reach, able to hear and talk.
- Must possess fine hand motor skills to handle small manufacturing tools, QC tools and fine product. Ability to raise arms above shoulder height.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Required to stand/walk for majority of an 8-hour work shift and lift/push/pull up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout work shift.
- Must be able to use hand tools including but not limited to scissors, pliers, razor blades, wire snips, etc.
- Repetitive motion/patterns are continuous: this includes walking while watching a monitor, gathering material and laying of material, repeat.
- Works on a manufacturing floor. Periodically overtime is required including weekends.
- Some travel required between company owned properties is required.
