POSITION SUMMARY:
Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) is seeking a new member for our maintenance team. This position helps perform all of our routine facilities and equipment maintenance, cleaning, and repair work at all of our business locations. Our maintenance team prioritize making sure that our sites are look great and are functioning safely and properly for our Employees and customers. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Excellent attendance
- Perform scheduled routine cleaning and maintenance at all assigned PTE sites, including but not limited to tasks such as pressure washing, pump maintenance, car wash maintenance, changing filters, and general landscape/grounds maintenance
- Complete repairs to various equipment and facilities at all PTE sites such as repairing fuel nozzles, repairs to car wash equipment, repairing fixtures/equipment, painting, patching, and plumbing repairs
- Complete and/or assist renovation projects, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and fixture/equipment assembly and placement
- Create and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to assigned tasks
- Work with a sense of urgency to get tasks done safely, quickly, and with good quality; promptly report any issues or incidents of concern
- Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout PTE
- Use all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results for PTE; maintain PTE equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships and with all employees, customers, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
- Strictly follow workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard PTE assets at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid WA drivers license
- Current vehicle insurance and good driving record
- 6 months related construction and/or facility maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to safely and effectively operate common hand tools, power tools, and small engines
- General knowledge and related skills in construction and facility maintenance
- Computer and MS Office proficient
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good time management skills and ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
- Strong self starter and ability to stay on task despite disruption or distraction
- Ability to problem solve, effectively multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Highly flexible and adaptable; able to effectively deal with unforeseen issues and quickly make changes when needed or requested
- Relates well to all people, diplomatic /gracious; builds good relationships without compromising results
- Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
- Uncompromising integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass background check
Preferred
- Any related education and/or vocational training
- Comprehensive knowledge and related skills in construction and/or facility maintenance
- Experience with HVAC
- Experience with facility maintenance software
