Under supervision of the General Counsel, the Attorney will draft and review PV Contracts as well as provide advice on employment law matters. They will also collaborate with the General Counsel on a broad range of legal issues impacting the organization.
Specific responsibilities may include :
- Contract Drafting and Review
Draft, review and negotiate a variety of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies
Provide legal guidance on contract-related matters and assist in the development of standard contract templatesEmployment Law ComplianceAdvise on employment law matters, including but not limited to, hiring, termination, discrimination, and workplace policies
Assist in the resolution of employment-related disputes and litigationLegal ResearchConduct legal research to stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations affecting the company's operations.
Provide legal analysis and recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable laws.General Legal SupportCollaborate with the General Counsel and other legal team members to address a broad range of legal issues impacting the organization
Participate in the development and implementation of legal strategies and initiativesContract ManagementManage and maintain the Company's contract repository, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts
Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processesEDUCATION AND TRAINING
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.2-3 years of relevant experience as an Attorney with a reputable law firmAdmission to the Bar in Texas with good standingAdmission to the Southern District of Texas (preferred)KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Demonstrated background in contract law and employment law.Law review or moot court background preferred.Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and handle multiple talks simultaneouslyStrong business acumen and the ability to align legal strategies with business goalsSound judgement and the ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advicePHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
