What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Specialist (Recruitment) position at PVE, LLC?
The Human Resource/Staffing Specialist provides support to assigned business units in staffing, recruitment, benefits admin, compliance, employee training, employee relations, and special projects.
Accountabilities:
• Manages the full-cycle recruitment process for the firm including, sourcing, interviewing, background screening,
offers, onboarding, new hire follow-up and record keeping using ATS software.
• Serves as HR business partner to assigned offices for staff planning, compliance, training, benefits, employee
relations, policy review and regular updates to Employee Handbook.
• Utilizes PEO software platform to manage employee records, updates to information, hiring, termination and I-9
verification.
• Conducts exit interviews and tracks metrics for turnover analysis.
• Supports the annual performance review and new hire 90-day review process assigned teams.
• Administers the annual Service Award Program.
• Provides monthly, quarterly reporting for management as requested.
• Ensures jobs are posted to company careers page, job boards, state websites and outreach sources in compliance
with EOE requirements.
• Ensures compliance with local and federal employment laws in each area of responsibility.
• Coordinates the annual career fair planning process including registration, table planning, set-up and follow-up
with students post event.
• Coordinates annual job shadowing program for local high school students.
• Assists with annual open enrollment and benefits administration.
• Addresses employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, complaints, and assists with investigations.
Competencies:
• Recruitment: Working knowledge of the full-cycle recruitment process and associated admin procedures. Ability to
attract and secure top talent in the Engineering and Architecture industry.
• Software: Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), PEO Software, In-Design, Microsoft Suite.
• HR Admin: Working knowledge HR best practices of employment law, HR event planning, compliance, employee
relations, benefit administration.
• Legal: Working knowledge of applicable employment law related to Affirmative Action, FLSA, ADA, local, state, and
federal laws.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g., business, human resources, psychology) or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of HR related experience.
