The Opportunity
We’re currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at PWR North America to provide effective maintenance, repair & servicing of plant & equipment.
Job Description:
- Attending mechanical, electrical, plant & equipment breakdowns.
- Carrying out safety tests as required.
- Undertaking a programme of planned preventative maintenance.
- New equipment installation.
- Carrying out day to day repairs and fault finding.
- Liaise with contractors, comply with the current Health & Safety regulations and Company policies.
- Assisting logistics in peak periods.
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record of maintenance and fault finding within a production environment.
- Certified Mechanical or Electrical qualification preferred.
- Forklift license also an advantage.
- Working at heights.
- Fabrication – manual machining/fitting/welding.
- Planning preventative maintenance experience.
- Experience with Furnace’s will be an advantage.
- Experience with electrical systems an advantage.
- Familiar with CNC machines also advantageous.
- PLC fault finding.
- Capacity to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures.
- Team-working skills to collaborate and liaise with people at all levels.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence to respond positively when under pressure.
- Ability to logically fault find.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings (desirable).
- Understanding of hydraulics and compressed air systems (desirable).
