Columbus, OH - This position will service the Columbus, OH area.
The Electronic Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele. The Electronic Sales Representative is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Electronic Sales Representatives may also recommend marketing strategies designed for a target market.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
Executes agreed upon sales plan for territory
Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
Develops a sound understanding of all product lines and services offered
Conducts sales presentations, seminars, and demonstrations; actively participate in networking groups
Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs
Actively participates, educates, and promotes industry knowledge
Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
Provides periodic territory sales forecasts
Perform other duties assigned by management
Education/Qualification:
High school diploma or GED required
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Strong work ethic and competitive spirit
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
2 years of Outside Sales experience in an electrical or technical industry a plus
Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field a plus
