We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team in various roles, including production/shop operations. As a key member of our Pre-Engineered division, you will be responsible for performing critical tasks such as fire extinguisher refills, maintenance, job stock supply and staging, inventory controls, and building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and emergency service of hand-portable fire extinguishers, including completion of associated reports and certification paperwork.
- Complete shop work, including hydro testing, cylinder filling, hand portable service and recharge, halon recycling, and necessary logging and reporting.
- Conduct light building maintenance, including office and shop equipment, snow removal from steps and ramps, etc.
- Make deliveries to customers and field personnel, as required.
- Assist customers with window/walk-in sales and services and interact with customers in a mature and professional manner.
- Support field service and installation personnel as needed.
- Complete detailed maintenance reports, documenting any issues and report results of work completed in an accurate, timely manner.
- Protect and maintain company equipment.
- Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, requesting repairs as necessary to ensure safe operation.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Follow direction and work independently when needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A high school education or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience is required.
- Some technical school training is a plus.
- Troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
- Reliable transportation to/from the office or job site is necessary.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools, ladders, medium equipment and machinery.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands or arms, stooping, kneeling, crouch, or crawling.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving heavy objects up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to balance, climb, grasp, hear, mentally acuity, pull, push, repetitive motion, speak, talk, and visually acuity.
