Job Summary
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of people and property by properly operating and maintaining portable devices.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test fire extinguishers to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Identify system deficiencies and prepare accurate and timely inspection reports.
- Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings.
- Test and repair fire extinguishers already in place.
- Perform inspections to ensure fire extinguishers are installed according to code.
- Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues.
- Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Protect and maintain company equipment.
- Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Respond to emergency service calls.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience required.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards preferred.
- Experience with fire extinguishers preferred.
- Troubleshooting skills essential.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility with scheduling requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
- Requires balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
