This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of individuals and communities by maintaining portable devices. Key responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and performing fire extinguisher checks according to fire code; identifying system deficiencies and submitting accurate inspection reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
Test and repair fire extinguishers already installed to guarantee their effectiveness in emergency situations.
Conduct thorough inspections to verify that fire extinguishers are properly installed and maintained.
Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting any issues or deficiencies found during the inspection process.
Submit results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner to ensure seamless communication with stakeholders.
Protect and maintain company equipment to prevent damage and ensure optimal performance.
Inspect and maintain the truck and related equipment, submitting repair requests as necessary to ensure safe operation.
Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, safely and efficiently to facilitate loading and unloading while adhering to safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.
Work safely as outlined by company safety procedures, including driver safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls to provide critical support during crisis situations.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and productivity.
Perform other duties assigned by management to ensure the success of the team.
Education/Qualification:
A high school education or equivalent is required for this role.
Minimum of 2 years of industry experience is necessary to demonstrate expertise in fire safety and maintenance.
Knowledge of NFPA standards is preferred, but not mandatory.
Experience with fire extinguishers is advantageous, but not essential.
Troubleshooting skills are necessary to identify and resolve complex issues.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with clients.
A clean driving record and reliable transportation are necessary to travel to job sites and offices.
Flexibility with scheduling is required to accommodate occasional evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
The ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of life safety is essential.
Understanding of codes and regulations related to fire safety is necessary to perform duties effectively.
The ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs is critical.
Interpretation, application, and explanation of applicable laws, codes, and regulations are required.
Maintenance of accurate records and reports is essential.
Other Duties:

Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the team's objectives.
Physical Requirements:
