Installation and Maintenance
As a Fire Sprinkler Pipe Fitter at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various piping systems to prevent accidents and reduce risks.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Placing, preparing, and maintaining pipes composed of different materials.
- Creating working procedures based on specifications.
- Inspecting pipes for pressure and leaks, and reporting or resolving issues.
- Collaborating with management to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruptions to operations.
- Complying with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Performing other duties assigned by management.
Skills Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with any vocational training being highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Pipe Fitter, with a minimum of two years of experience.
