Work on union and non-union issues, discrimination claims, investigations, professional services agreements, wage & hour matters, and immigration. Company is centrally located in Houston with work in the office, and travel is 15%. Excellent compensation package and benefits.Responsibilities : Provide legal advice, counsel, and support on a wide range of federal and state employment and labor issues, such as wage and hour, leaves of absence, accommodation requests, complaints of discrimination / harassment / retaliation, hiring, discipline / grievances, terminations, and reductions in force.Serve as a primary internal legal point of contact for internal clients performing work across the US and other countries or territories.Manage and partner with outside counsel hired to assist with employment and labor matters.Advise and provide legal support with internal employment and compliance investigations, reviews, and audits.Assist with administrative proceedings before the EEOC, DOL, NLRB, OFCCP, and other federal and state administrative agencies.Advise and draft employment related policies and agreements, including but not limited to company policies, employment contracts (offer letters), secondments, restrictive covenant agreements (e.g. confidentiality agreements), consulting agreements, and separation agreements.Minimum Requirements : JD from an accredited universityA member in good standing of a U.S. state bar3-4 years of employment and / or labor law experience in a law firmExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and ability to multi-taskInitiative-drivenAbility to travel (domestically and internationally), up to 15% of the time, and when neededAbility to work collaboratively and in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionSeniority Level : AssociateEmployment Type : Full-timeJob Function : LegalIndustries : Legal Services#J-18808-Ljbffr
