Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) Apprentice

We offer behavioral healthcare services – psychiatry, addiction recovery, mental disorder treatment, etc. – that allow clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim health and well-being.

Summary

Assist individuals in establishing necessary connections with available supports in the facility and the community that will facilitate initiation and on-going engagement in the recovery process. Assist individuals in developing and solidifying long-term recovery supports, and providing services before, during, and following an individual’s engagement in the treatment continuum.

Shift

12:00pm to 8:00pm. Must have weekend availability

Hourly Rate

Progressive wages as indicated by apprenticeship agreement

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide lived experience expertise and interact with multi-disciplinary treatment team
• Maintain regular contact with referral sources as indicated
• Prepare and conduct concurrent reviews to referral sources as directed by supervisor
• Responsible for timely completion of medical record documentation
• Facilitates group sessions
• Documentation of all client or peripheral contacts
• Participate in facility peer engagement processes
• Productive, effective and professional relationships with all disciplines
• Keeps supervisor informed
• Provide transportation for clients to access community resources
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Education, Licensure, & Experience

• Have high school Diploma/GED
• Current CRS certification
• Current enrollment in Rowan College of South Jersey CPRS apprenticeship program
• One year of work experience in a substance abuse treatment facility preferred
• One year of direct peer support experience preferred
