Plastics Injection Machine Operators are responsible for operating and overseeing plastic injection molding machines used in the production of various plastic products. The Operators role involves setting up the machines, monitoring the molding process, and ensuring that finished products meet quality standards.
Starting Pay: $17.00
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, weekends required as needed
- First Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm
- Second Shift: 2:30-11:00pm
- Third Shift: 10:30pm-7:00am
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Observes machine operation, work instructions, remove parts, and separates runner from product and also load inserts as necessary for required jobs.
- Sorts parts from family molds by different sizes, shapes, or dimensions, cavities, etc.
- Performs secondary operations.
- Inspect parts visually for defects.
- Gages or measures parts dimensionally.
- Pack products into cartons for shipping and attaches proper identification with accurate information.
- Maintain production count records.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certifications in plastics processing is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Plastics Injection Machine Operator or in a related role is preferred.
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and equipment operation.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical documents, and quality specifications.
- Basic understanding of injection molding machine controls and parameters.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
This position requires working in a warehouse environment, operating machinery, and handling materials. It is essential to have good manual dexterity, and physical stamina. Prior experience as a machine operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
