Logistics & Customer Fulfillment Role
Pyxis Lab® is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to streamline our supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient and cost-effective transportation, storage, and distribution of goods, while maintaining compliance with regulations and company standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Shipment Coordination: Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or warehouse facilities.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and manage restocking schedules in collaboration with warehouse teams.
- Vendor Relations: Work closely with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate rates and ensure service quality.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, national, and international regulations, including customs and trade compliance.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in the supply chain and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize delays.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery schedules, and related logistics documentation.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with purchasing, sales, and customer service teams to align logistics operations with overall business goals. Pyxis Lab® would like to also encourage our employees to have a sales-minded approach, with the opportunity to sell direct to our customer base.
Qualifications
- Entry Level Knowledge of Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, or WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with shipping processes, customs regulations, and freight management.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience in eCommerce, Manufacturing or the Water Industry
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain
- Forklift Certification
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma Methodologies
