Project Architect | 7+ Years | License Preferred

Job Overview
QA M Architecture has an opening for a Project Architect with 7 years of experience. Ideal candidates should be Licensed or in the process of completing licensure. Experience within the Education or Healthcare market sectors is preferred.

In this role you will work closely with project teams in a collaborative studio on varied projects. Candidates for this position will possess team leadership skills, along with strong management and communication skills.

This is a full-time, in-person position at our office in Farmington, CT. QA M Architecture specializes in a wide range of project types including Education, Municipal, Multi-Family Housing, Corporate & Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously collaborate with P-I-C and/or internal team members;
• Develop and express concepts accurately and rapidly to meet deadlines;
• Attend client meetings in-house and at client sites;
• Maintain positive communications and work with colleagues and clients;
• Consult manufacturers and evaluate materials;
• Coordinate architectural specifications (ability to write specs is preferred, not required);
• Provide direction and mentorship to junior staff members.

Key Requirements

• Experience in K-12 Educational, or Healthcare project types preferred;
• Client and project management skills required;
• Experience with space planning, design, multi-discipline team coordination and leadership required;
• Technical proficiency in building construction, codes, and construction documents;
• Strong communication skills and team oriented professional;
• Proficiency in Revit & ability to manage ACC project cloud models;
• Ability to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skills;
• Highly-motivated, good team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks & projects, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines;
• Strong written and verbal communications skills;
