What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at QA1 Precision Products Inc?
Executes all aspects of quality control that includes safely inspecting and documenting both incoming and in-process product.
Work Shift: 6:30 am - 4:30 pm Mon - Thurs or Tues - Fri
Duties and Responsibilities
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Ability to follow all safety protocols
- Inspects and dispositions purchased and manufactured products
- Reports any non-conformances to the Quality Manager and/or Quality Engineer
- Reads and understands engineering drawings and print
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education & Experience
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- One-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft applications
- Ability to interpret drawings
- Organizational skills
- Excellent time management
- Oral and written communication skills
- Professionalism
Preferred experience with the following equipment:
- Metal testing
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Optical comparator
- Coordinate measuring machine
- Hardness tester
- Tensile strength tester

- Faro arm
- Tape measure

Language Ability

Ability to calculate figures such as, fraction to decimal conversion, inch to metric conversion, hole position, tapers, angles, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and GD&T.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet software, inventory software and email. Experience with CAD software is helpful.
