What You Will Do
- Consistently meet or exceed weld production goals and maintain high levels of productivity while minimize waste while meeting quality standards.
- Operate robotic equipment, including loading and tacking parts, plus performing touch-ups.
- Perform basic MIG welding and weld cleaning (both robot and manual).
- Follow blueprints and specifications, ensuring tight tolerances.
- Inspect completed products for quality compliance.
- Keep tools, equipment, and workspace safe and organized.
- Troubleshoot and report discrepancies or malfunctions to management.
- Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.
- High school diploma or GED.
- MIG welding certification through AWS or 4 years experience and/or training required; Pulse MIG welding experience a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
- Prior experience with forklift operation, basic hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to weld with a welding rotator.
- Basic computer skills.
- Person people want to work with.
- Positive attitude, reliable attendance with excellent work ethic.
- Basic math, reading and English communication skills.
- Comfortable with team interaction or alone under busy conditions with minimal supervision.
- Must be available and open to the idea of cross training learning.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including extended standing 8-10 hours a day with occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 60 lbs.
