The Opportunity :
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the development, communication and implementation of compensation policies and programs to support organization needs. Build relationships with People Business Partners and aid the business through analysis and guidance on compensation programs including job architecture, market competitiveness and incentive pay.
- Location : New York City (55 Water Street, NYC), Sun Prairie, WI
- Work Arrangement : This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week
- The starting salary for this role is between $107,000.00 and $200,500.00
Your new role
Participate in the development of compensation strategies through creative input combined with data analysis and a deep understanding of the company's future challengesAnalyze, communicate and administer compensation policies, processes, and programs in alignment with QBE's strategy and DNA in order to support business objectives and ensure compliance and competitivenessLead components of annual reward cycles, such as annual merit review process, including data validation, system testing, process improvement and education of People Business PartnersOptimize efficiency by identifying opportunities to improve compensation programs, recommending innovative solutions and providing relevant information to key decision makers to streamline and standardize processResearch and analyze issues based on market information and provide recommendations to resolve business issuesValidate data for various compensation surveys to ensure a competitive market positionDevelop and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to enable proper understanding of compensation programs and its various impacts (financial, risk, etc.)Perform compliance reviews and analysis to ensure compensation programs are compliant, market competitive and equitableAct as a point of reference to guide and advise team to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practiceContribute and support wider People projects that include a reward remit, such as participation on global reward team projectsQualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experienceCertified Compensation Professional (CCP)Preferred Skills
Proficient in MS Excel (specific proficiency with V-lookup, pivot tables, macros, and advanced formatting)Strong analytic and numeric skillsUtilize effective interpersonal, verbal and written communicationHigh attention to detail and accuracyGenerate original, innovative solutions to difficult or unusual situationsProven interpersonal and relationship building skills across the organizationAdapt and be flexible in a complex, changing environmentAbility to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing prioritiesWork independently; with guidance in only the most complex situationAbility to collaborate effectively within a team environmentPreferred Knowledge
Knowledge of compensation theory, philosophies, best practices and trendsStrong financial and business acumenStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge of current employment legislation, corporate governance, risk management, significant events and its impact on compensation programsKnowledge of confidentiality requirements associated with the practice of Human ResourcesCompensation Package : The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience.
