We are seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Manager to build and develop a scalable infrastructure program from the ground up. This is a new role is designed for a proactive and technically skilled leader who can take ownership of IT operations, infrastructure planning, security, and hardware lifecycle management. You will play a crucial role in shaping our IT environment, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency across the organization.
Additionally, this role will be instrumental in supporting our upcoming office move, ensuring that our IT, networking, and security infrastructure are set up seamlessly in the new space.
This role requires a highly technical, problem-solving expert who can work independently while collaborating cross-functionally with leadership, vendors, and end users.
Key Responsibilities
Build & Develop Infrastructure Program:
- Design and implement IT infrastructure strategies that align with business needs.
- Establish best practices, documentation, and scalable workflows for IT operations.
- Ensure IT infrastructure can scale with the company's growth and evolving needs.
Support Office Move & Office Security:
- Key player in the upcoming office move, responsible for planning and implementing IT infrastructure in the new space.
- Coordinate network and telecommunications setup, including structured cabling, WiFi, VPN, and remote access.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of physical security systems, including access control, badge systems, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems.
- Ensure business continuity during the transition by minimizing downtime and technical disruptions.
Hardware & Device Management:
- Manage procurement, deployment, and support for laptops, iPads, accessories, and other office technology.
- Implement a structured hardware lifecycle management plan, ensuring cost-effective upgrades and replacements.
IT Systems & Security:
- Administer core IT platforms, including Microsoft 365, Apple Business Manager, and Box.
- Implement and enforce IT security best practices, including endpoint security, access controls, VPN management, and compliance policies.
- Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Networking & Office Technology:
- Oversee office networking infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Manage VPN and remote access solutions to support hybrid and remote employees.
- Optimize IT infrastructure to support evolving workplace needs, including conference room technology and telephony systems.
Technical Support & Employee Onboarding/Offboarding:
- Lead IT support operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Oversee end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup, account provisioning, and security access.
Vendor & Budget Management:
- Own vendor relationships for IT hardware, software, networking, and security solutions.
- Manage IT budgets for infrastructure, procurement, and maintenance.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts for IT services and solutions.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or related roles.
- Hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365, Apple Business Manager, Box, VPN, and networking technologies.
- Strong knowledge of hardware lifecycle management, procurement, and deployment.
- Experience implementing IT security practices, physical security (access control, surveillance), endpoint management, and access control policies.
- Proven ability to lead IT infrastructure planning for office relocations, expansions, or major upgrades.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, contract negotiation, and IT budgeting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong project management skills to drive infrastructure initiatives and office transition projects.
