Position SummaryPlayer-Coach Sales Manager
Build, test, and scale an outbound sales engine using modern B2B sales automation tools. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you will personally sell, refine the playbook, and then scale a high-velocity team to execute it. Success in this role means designing a repeatable, data-driven process for outbound prospecting, personalization at scale, and sales conversion.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and Optimize the Outbound Sales Engine:
- Develop, implement, and refine a structured outbound sales playbook.
- Leverage sales automation tools (Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft) to drive efficient prospecting.
- Create email sequences, LinkedIn outreach strategies, and call scripts.
- Test different outbound tactics and iterate based on data and conversion metrics.
Sell, Then Scale:
- Personally engage in outbound sales to validate the sales playbook before scaling.
- Set up A/B tests on messaging, cadence timing, and multi-channel engagement.
- Hire, train, and coach a team of Inside Sales Representatives to execute the outbound strategy.
Drive Team Performance Through Data & KPIs:
- Define and manage key sales metrics: outreach volume, meeting conversion rates, pipeline velocity.
- Use Salesforce CRM and sales intelligence tools (Gong, Apollo, ZoomInfo) to track performance.
- Establish real-time dashboards and reports in Salesforce to drive decision-making.
- Conduct weekly coaching sessions and provide feedback based on Gong call recordings and CRM analytics.
- 5 years of inside sales experience, with 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing, testing, and scaling outbound B2B sales teams.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce CRM, including workflow automation, reporting, and segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, or similar sales automation tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to optimize outreach strategies.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
