To thrive as an IT Help Desk Technician at QC Supply, you'll need a solid blend of technical and interpersonal skills! Serving as the first point of contact for technical assistance, you will leverage your strong computer skills to diagnose and resolve a variety of hardware and software issues. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 setup and support will be essential, especially with tools like Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills will help you track requests, document resolutions, and follow standard help desk procedures effectively. Communication is key-as you'll need to advise users on appropriate actions and tackle challenging customer interactions with a patient, customer-oriented approach.

Your writing and editing skills will also come into play as you update documentation and processes. With attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, you'll help create a supportive and efficient tech environment!

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Serve as the first point of contact to requests for technical assistance
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Advise user on appropriate action
  • Track requests and document resolutions
  • Follow standard help desk procedures, document processes, and maintain service desk records
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention to the next level of support personnel
  • Work effectively in-person and remotely with internal customers at all levels of the company
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least one year experience in an IT end-user support role
  • Strong Computer Skills and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in setup and support of Microsoft 365 product suite, including but not limited to: Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
  • Good Customer Service Skills/ Ability to Communicate Effectively to help customers fix their issues and feel satisfied with the experience
  • Writing and editing skills to aid in writing and updating documentation
