This role involves managing the coordination of structural, mechanical, and electrical components while ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations. The Auxiliary Building Manager will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage the construction, renovation, and maintenance of auxiliary buildings supporting manufacturing and industrial operations.
- Design & Planning Coordination: Work with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop and review plans ensuring compliance with design and operational requirements.
- Construction Management: Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship, adherence to project specifications, and on-time completion.
- Mechanical & Electrical Coordination: Ensure integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems within auxiliary buildings.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain adherence to building codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
- Testing & Commissioning: Conduct inspections, system testing, and commissioning to verify performance and readiness for operation.
- Schedule & Budget Management: Track project progress, manage costs, and implement necessary adjustments to maintain schedules and budgets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and government agencies to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify and mitigate potential construction risks affecting project quality, cost, and timelines.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of project progress, contracts, permits, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction and facility management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
- Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems in auxiliary buildings.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and deadlines effectively.
- Experience in solar, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing facility construction.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), LEED AP, or PE (Professional Engineer).
