Responsibilities Include
- Support the Capital Procurement team in executing procurement strategies aligned with project procurement plans and global capital facility initiatives.
- Analyze supplier quotations and prepare commercial bid analyses, including vendor recommendations for internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and contractors to drive cost savings and overall value.
- Create and manage purchase orders in SAP and Ariba.
- Expedite orders and provide regular updates on delivery status and outstanding actions.
- Coordinate the vendor onboarding process in SAP and Ariba in accordance with internal procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, vendor documentation, and procurement files.
- Support capital purchase order tracking and management within SAP.
- Provide backup coverage for other procurement roles as needed.
- Extensive experience in procurement or buying, preferably within a capital projects or engineering environment.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Experience using SAP and Ariba is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience supporting large capital projects is an advantage.
- A self-starter with a customer-focused mindset and strong sense of teamwork.
- IIPMM qualification (Certificate or Degree) is a plus.
