CAPEX Project Manager - Ohio, United States - 12 Months Contract with potential extensions
This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAPEX Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of the capital project, focusing on the development of a state-of-the-art oligo / peptide clinical trial manufacturing facility.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with organizational objectives.
- Manage all aspects of project delivery, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and quality assurance to drive project success.
- Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project requirements and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project milestones and objectives.
- Provide regular project updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale capital projects over $300m within GMP manufacturing environments (Biologics or Pharmaceutical experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across various project phases.
- Experience in leading projects from concept through commissioning and qualification.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and knowledge of related regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with process equipment used in drug substance manufacturing facilities.
- Demonstrated experience in CAPEX project execution within the pharmaceutical industry.
