We are seeking a reliable and highly organized Office & HR Assistant to support our daily operations for an apparel design office located near downtown LA. The ideal candidate will manage a variety of tasks related to shipping, office maintenance, human resources, and inventory, ensuring our workspace runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. This employee will report to the HR Manager.
Duties
- Human Relations: Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job ads, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews. Help with resolving employee issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Receiving & Shipping: Handle packaging and shipping of design samples, fabrics, and customer service orders. Create and manage shipping labels.
- Order Fulfilment: Fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately, and process customer returns efficiently.
- Office Supplies: Order and manage office supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Office Maintenance: Schedule bi-monthly office cleanings, take out trash, maintain a tidy kitchen and workspace, and break down boxes.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain product and office inventory, ensuring everything is in its place and easily accessible.
- Sample Organization: Keep samples organized and ready for fittings or client presentations.
- Fit & Office Schedule Management: Receive office fitting information and share schedules with the relevant teams.
- Event Planning: Assist the HR manager in planning and organizing employee events focused on team building and morale.

- Must be extremely organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.

- Great communication skills for coordinating with different departments and vendors.
- Comfortable with tasks that involve physical activity, such as lifting and breaking down boxes.

- Must be able to commute to office 5 days/week
