General Description: The Director of Project Management and Engineering is responsible for ensuring the consistent execution of project management and engineering services across the organization. This role involves updating and developing policies, setting strategic goals, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle. The position reports to the Vice President and supports EPC projects across the QISG platform.

This role involves updating and developing policies, setting strategic goals, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle. The position reports to the Vice President and supports EPC projects across the QISG platform.
Duties
- Assist executives in developing long- and short-range planning, policies, procedures, programs, and objectives.
- Achieve optimal employee productivity levels through effective leadership.
- Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Develop and direct project management and engineering operations to meet organizational goals.
- Provide strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project delivery.
- Act as a technical lead during all project phases, including customer or job site visits.
- Manage the performance of engineering service providers and develop key performance indicators.
- Develop and implement engineering controls and quality assurance standards.
- Ensure internal technical documentation and standards meet company and customer requirements.
- Manage engineering staffing initiatives and plan for resource needs.
- Lead, mentor, and oversee training strategy for engineering staff.
- Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings, developing proposals, and planning projects.
- Drive innovation and efficiency in engineering processes and methodologies.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and integrity within the engineering department.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate relevant innovations into project designs and processes.
- Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and professional associations.
- Performs special projects and other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Over 10 years of experience in operational management and engineering within the power delivery industry.
- 5 years’ experience managing employees.
- Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong technical expertise in structural, civil, or electrical engineering.
- Knowledge of utility industry processes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent business acumen and experience managing departmental budgets.
- Strong problem-solving, team building, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Travel as necessary to achieve job responsibilities, up to 50% of the time.
