Pay Rate: $50/Hr - $52/Hr with opportunity to turn permanent after 12 month contract
Locations: Hybrid first 90 ndays on site then 1 day a week WFH

Job Summary:
This Operations Engineer (SCCM/ Software Asset) role is responsible for operating all SCCM packaged applications and Overall SCCM Daily Operations. You will ensure that these applications are configured and secured following guidelines and controls defined by Information Security. There are 100 applications, and this person would be responsible for installing, packaging, and testing these applications for deployment on top of the base image in Windows 10 & 11... Candidate will participate in the creation of standard images, updates to the image, and operating system upgrades. Candidate must also be able to plan, create, deploy, and monitor SCCM packages and OSD task sequences to devices on the network. Candidate will support all outdated software and bring to a non-vulnerable state.
Experience:
- Previous experience with SCCM or MCM
- Have ITAM experience or been a part of a company with a defined process for asset management
- Must have Software asset management knowledge
- Experience Active Directory and Group Policy in Active Directory
- Experience with application packaging and security patching
- Knowledge of Patch my PC software and VS plug in security evaluation and deployment.
- Experience with VMware vCenter is ideal
- Preference given to those in a financial service organization of similar scale and complexity
- Strong governance and security expertise and in managing risks for end users
Responsibilities:
- Administering SCCM automated software delivery via Software Center along with creating, maintaining, and deploying desktop images as needed.
- Primarily responsible for deploying Windows to desktops, patching Windows to all Windows endpoint devices, and deploying software to all Windows endpoint devices.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of software assets, from initial procurement to ultimate retirement, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Creating documentation for application packages deployed.
- Perform software usage analysis to identify underutilized or unused licenses, recommending cost-saving measures and optimizing license allocation.
- Strong communication skills with peers and service desk.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, preparing for audits and maintaining documentation accordingly.
- Generate reports on software asset inventory, compliance status, and financial impacts, providing insights for decision-making.
- Package and distribute software efficiently, often using software distribution tools and scripting to automate the deployment process.
- Configure and deploy software packages in a standardized and consistent manner utilizing SCCM.
- Collaborate with software vendors, managing contracts and negotiating license agreements.
- Keep up to date on the latest software asset management tools, technologies, and best practices.
