Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role encompasses a variety of cleaning tasks in commercial settings and requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct custodial duties such as emptying trash bins, sanitizing restrooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with residential painting and touch-ups to maintain the aesthetic appeal of facilities.
- Execute commercial and industrial cleaning tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is an advantage.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards consistently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; must be able to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
