We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both custodial duties and facilities upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Conduct industrial cleaning procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness in commercial spaces.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all areas are well-kept and functional.
- Engage in residential painting projects when required, contributing to the overall aesthetic of the facility.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all cleaning tasks.
- Act as a porter by assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with floor care procedures including buffing and waxing is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
- Must be physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting and moving items as needed.
